Those who are using sophisticated application will have to go for optimum memory and i.e. 2GB or above. These ranges make the computing task easier. But you have to check the future requirement related to software and other programs you may add in your laptop. The memory slots vary greatly and found in precise manner. It may be because of the different memory needs. Graphic controllers occupy large amount memory and largely reduce the memory capacity in the laptop. To make a balance, it is best to upgrade laptop with more memory.
RAM or Random Access Memory is the primary memory in desktops and laptops. They hold temporary programs and can be personalized according to the users will. DDR2 memory is used in new laptop currently. Some laptops still have DDR memory but the upcoming laptops will have DDR3 memory specification. Memory reveals the level of the system and also highlights the speed. So its speed should be checked before the actual purchase. You can recognize the memory speed by tracing the memory type and clock rating. There are some laptops in which you can’t upgrade memory and these are called memory restrictions so check properly.
